Membership stretches over 20,000 tourism industry operators and comprises the national tourism confederations / federations /associations and tourism chambers in the East African Community. The EATP Membership strategy describes the different categories of EATP membership and their respective benefits as proposed by the Secretariat and to be approved by the Board meeting.
A National private sector Apex Tourism Body from any of the EAC Partner States are a full member. Each National Apex Tourism Body shall be represented by three (3) Alternates, one of whom shall be appointed to be a Director of the organization.
National Private Tourism Apex bodies:
● Burundi Chamber of Hotel and Tourism
● Kenya Tourism Federation
● Tourism Confederation of Tanzania
● Rwanda Chamber of tourism
● Uganda Tourism Association
Any bona fide National Tourism Body in any of the EAC Partner states, not being an Apex Body, which has its registered office in the EAC shall be eligible for Associate Membership of the Company at the discretion of the Directors for a period of one year and shall apply for renewal of its membership annually.

● Tourism Boards
● Conservation related body
Individuals who have served the tourism industry with distinction may be elected Honorary Members (i.e. Former Ministers of tourism, Board members of the tourism boards, to mention a few; annually at the General Meeting on the Directors’s recommendation or on a proposal by
any Full Member.
Affiliate Membership is a special category of membership reserved for Any Tourism value chain supplier in any of the EAC Partner States interested in the platform’s activities, including access to resources, programs, services, and information. The East African Tourism Platform (EATP) is pleased to offer area businesses, the opportunity to join the platform as Affiliate Members. Upon approval of the board of director’s application, the entity shall assume its obligation to pay the prorated fee of the established annual contribution based on its date of admission (Requirements).
